FAILING

The outcome or results of a person's hard work can really discourage him if it does not turn out right.
Let's say you work hard to achieve something, you tried and tried, and work towards that goal.
But in the end, your efforts did not pay off and the outcome was not what you had expected.
This can really discourage a person, if he is really does not have a strong will.
His self confidence goes down and thus causing him to give up all the work.

No, this should not be the case.

This video is about Gregg in Britain's Got Talent 2009.
He sang opera BUT..
amazed the audience and not to mention the judges with his exceptionally soprano voice for a guy.

This is to tell you, do not judge a book by its cover.
Appearance does not matter.
What is, is the quality, the character, the substance in us.

BODY PIERCING

As a form of self-expression, either artistic or sexual. It can be a means of sexual stimulation as well as piercing of genitals is assumed to increase the sharpness of feelings.

As any fashionable phenomenon, piercing is controversial.
And along with those who are ready to have a hollow in any place imaginable, for others it is a subject for disapproval and prejudice.

For some people body piercing is faddish and ugly and, hence, inappropriate. This point of view has the right to exist but, say, navel piercing does enhance the beauty and sex appeal of a feminine tummy, and who would deny that a woman engender admiration and desire.

APPEARANCE PROBLEM

Some people think that they don't look good enough, thus resulting in the lack of confidence.
They go through plastic surgery and other body modifications like tattoos and piercings.
Just so that they can have a "sense of belonging" to a group.

Why people go for plastic surgery?

People who seek plastic surgery obviously want to change their appearance. But that isn't at the heart of what they want.

It all starts with people wanting to improve imperfections so they can feel better about themselves.

Some spoke about improving physical features that had bothered them for some time. They felt they would be happier, that others would respond to them better, that they would have improved social lives.

Some older studies suggested that the average plastic-surgery patient is likely to have some psychological disturbance,example being teased by people for his/her appearance and this can affect their self-esteem.

Teens view plastic surgery as a way to fit in and look acceptable to friends and peers.
Having the surgery gives them greater confidence and boosts their self-esteem.

RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS

No, this is not your ordianry boy-girl-relationship, like what you people usually will think. This is more focused on friendships (:

Jealousy, envy, greed, gossips, stress, etc etc

All this can cause relationship problems or be caused by them as well.

For example:
-You noticed your close friend confiding in someone else, you'll get hurt and disappointed at the fact that your close friend trusts somebody else instead of you. You'll definitely be jealous also right?

-Having a close friend can be a double edged sword. You'll have to overlook their failures and tolerate teir successes. Even if you are very close, you might experience a little of envy if your close friend does better than you or have achieved more things than you right?

-This can lead to greed or a thirst of power, where you want to achieve greater things and positions and excel higher than others, even if it's your closest friend.

-Because of your character, gossips will spread. People will talk bad about you and thus, more and more people will come to dslike you. What's more, if you can't take the stress from the work you are getting because of your high position, it will be a double blow with people separating themselves from you.

This is all a chain.
That is why we must practise the fruit of the Spirit.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
Galatians 5:22

Friends are the foundation of our emotions.
As we enter our teenage life, friends matter more than anything else.
We share our happiness together and our pain and sorrows together.
We go through thick and thin together.
If we have issues with them, it's just like, support is all gone.

But..
We musn't forget God as well.
He is afterall, the best support we can ever have.
And our best friend att that! (:

This is just a video showing various singers singing "Just Stand Up" to support cancer patients to stand up to cancer.
It is really an inspiring and encouraing video/song.
Along with lots of support from other people, I hope cancer patients would not give up easily too!

LACK OF SUPPORT

Support can be a foundation of one's emotions. Without support from friends, family etc, one may feel discouraged, just like being neglected and abandoned.

To support is to encourage and motivate.
This builds one's self confidence.
When someone tell you that you can do it, you'll feel encouraged as you know that someone has faith that you can accomplish things and therefore,your morale will be higher.

Never look down on someone unless you're helping him up.
Start helping people to build their confidence by giving them support.

Ways you can help:
-Praise someone
-Have faith in them
-Never look down on them
-Encourage them
-Pray for them
-Let them know of some motivational quotes
